My heart is broken by the turn of events leading to Susan’s home going to Jesus. I know Susan loved the Lord and He didn’t want her to suffer from a protracted illness. As much as we know that our heavenly home is beautiful, it’s still hard to believe that we won’t see you again in the physical. May the Lord receive you into the heavenly home He has prepared for you. Adieu my friend.
For your beautiful daughter and husband left behind to mourn, we thank God for being your strength and shield.Accept

    To Ken:
I can’t help but think how fruitless any words of mine shared would help you from this grief. It is my heartfelt pain for your sorrow that leaves me with a sense of meagerness. Please know I consider it a privilege to work for you and a measure of my happiness is drawn from our friendship. I pray God and time can allay your heartache and leave you to carry only your love and prized memories of Susan.

    Affectionately and Sincerely,
    Bill Runion

Ken, I am so sorry for your earthly loss of Susan. I cannot imagine the void you must be feeling. You and your family are in my prayers. There are no words of comfort that I can offer, but Jesus presented these and I wish for you joy in the promise of hope he provides. John 14:2 “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.” If there is anything that I can do, please do not hesitate to ask. In His love, Bill

I’m sorry I won’t be able to make it to the funeral tomorrow. I’d like to take this moment to share a couple of good memories I have with Aunt Sue.

I was nine and a little obsessed with braids. My Barbies were always decked out in intricate designs, and I had mastered french braiding my own hair, but I was eager for more human subjects. She very kindly let me practice on her, reassured me that I wasn’t pulling too hard as I brushed it out, and wore my creation for the rest of the visit.

It was a big family gathering, and Grandpa Atkins was singing with Aunt Belle. The song was the gospel “He Touched Me,” and everyone was listening, rapt. They loved singing together and harmonized beautifully, but I wasn’t familiar with the song, so I whispered to her, asking who “He” was. “Jesus,” she answered, and I could tell how much that answer meant to her.

All the very best to Adrienne and Uncle Ken. I’ll be thinking of you both.

I am so saddened at the passing of dear Susan who I met for the first time so long ago when her lovely daughter Adrienne was a beautiful talented young ballet student at the IBT academy. I have watched and prayed these last weeks hoping for a longer time here on earth for Susan. Alas, the Lord has called her home. May she know that her loved ones are among friends and those who will look after them and may her soul rest in Peace as she smiles down from above. So grateful to have gotten meet this lovely woman. My life is richer for it.
